why I built this for builders.
The Honest Truth:
I’m not going to show you a page of screenshots or parade other builders talking about how great I am.
Why? Because I don’t have those yet.
What I DO have:
10 years building lead generation systems for health and wellness businesses.
Millions in revenue generated.
Proven systems that work.
But here’s why I’m now dedicated to builders:
My father-in-law was a builder. Old school. Great at his craft. Built his entire business on word-of-mouth. And it worked—until it didn’t.
When referrals dried up, he had no pipeline. No systems. No way to generate new work. He was forced to close the business and take a $100k/year job. After decades building quality homes, he couldn’t even sell the business—because without systems, there was nothing to sell.
Then I built my own custom home.
I went through the entire process as a homeowner. I fell in love with it—the craftsmanship, the trades, the problem-solving. I gained massive respect for what builders do.
And I saw the gap: The best builders are often the worst at marketing themselves.
So I’m taking 10 years of proven lead generation experience and building it specifically for residential builders.
I don’t have builder case studies yet. That’s why I’m running a pilot program—to prove the system works for this industry.
But I do have:

Why “The Black Agency”?
It’s my last name—van den Black.
I could’ve called it “Hugo’s Marketing Agency” or “Builder Lead Solutions” or some other generic name.
But I wanted it personal. Because this isn’t a faceless agency farming you out to junior account managers.
It’s me. My name. My reputation on the line.
The Black Agency is a one-person operation (for now—might expand as we prove the Builder Growth System works).
Which means:

Why this matters:
I spent 10 years building lead generation systems for health and wellness businesses. When I decided to focus on builders, I could’ve joined a big agency with fancy offices and a large team.
Instead, I’m building this lean and focused—because I saw what happened to my father-in-law when his building business had no systems. I’m not trying to build an empire. I’m trying to help builders build predictable pipelines.
